Little Red Riding Hood

In a village by the woods so deep,
Lived Little Red, who loved to leap!
She wore a bright red cloak each day,
And skipped along her merry way.

One morning, Mama packed a treat:
β€œTake this basket, oh so sweetβ€”
To Grandma’s house, but don’t you stray,
And never talk along the way!”

Red Riding Hood said, β€œYes, I will!”
She trotted off past tree and hill.
She sang a song, all full of cheer,
Not knowing someone sneaky was near.

Behind a bush, with crafty eyes,
A big bad wolf began to rise.
β€œHello, little girl! Where do you go?”
β€œTo Grandma’s house, just down that road!”

β€œOhhh,” said the wolf, β€œhow nice to hear!”
He grinned and ran offβ€”fast and clear!
He zoomed ahead, quick as a flash,
And knocked on Grandma’s little sash.

The wolf jumped in with a big old roar,
And Grandma hid in the closet door!
He put on her nightgown, glasses too,
And waited for Red, as villains do.

Soon Red knocked and stepped inside,
β€œGrandma, what big eyes! So wide!”
β€œAnd Grandma, what big ears you’ve got!”
β€œAnd what big teeth!”—then she froze on the spot!

Just then, CRASH! The door flew wideβ€”
A woodsman came with giant strides!
β€œShoo, you wolf!” he gave a shout,
And chased that naughty rascal out.

Red hugged Grandma, safe and sound,
And danced in circles all around.
β€œI’ll listen closely from now on,
And stick to the path till I am gone!”

So remember, friends, when you explore,
Stay on the path and don’t ignoreβ€”
The rules that keep you safe each day,
And fun adventures come your way!

The End!
