Little Red Riding Hood
In a village by the woods so deep,
Lived Little Red, who loved to leap!
She wore a bright red cloak each day,
And skipped along her merry way.
One morning, Mama packed a treat:
βTake this basket, oh so sweetβ
To Grandmaβs house, but donβt you stray,
And never talk along the way!β
Red Riding Hood said, βYes, I will!β
She trotted off past tree and hill.
She sang a song, all full of cheer,
Not knowing someone sneaky was near.
Behind a bush, with crafty eyes,
A big bad wolf began to rise.
βHello, little girl! Where do you go?β
βTo Grandmaβs house, just down that road!β
βOhhh,β said the wolf, βhow nice to hear!β
He grinned and ran offβfast and clear!
He zoomed ahead, quick as a flash,
And knocked on Grandmaβs little sash.
The wolf jumped in with a big old roar,
And Grandma hid in the closet door!
He put on her nightgown, glasses too,
And waited for Red, as villains do.
Soon Red knocked and stepped inside,
βGrandma, what big eyes! So wide!β
βAnd Grandma, what big ears youβve got!β
βAnd what big teeth!ββthen she froze on the spot!
Just then, CRASH! The door flew wideβ
A woodsman came with giant strides!
βShoo, you wolf!β he gave a shout,
And chased that naughty rascal out.
Red hugged Grandma, safe and sound,
And danced in circles all around.
βIβll listen closely from now on,
And stick to the path till I am gone!β
So remember, friends, when you explore,
Stay on the path and donβt ignoreβ
The rules that keep you safe each day,
And fun adventures come your way!
The End!
