The Rainbow’s End
Once upon a time, in a happy little village with green hills and pretty flowers, lived a little girl named Emma. Emma loved to play outside—especially when it rained! She knew that after the rain, something magical always appeared: a rainbow!
One sunny afternoon, after a short rain shower, Emma looked up and saw the biggest, brightest rainbow she had ever seen. It stretched across the sky with beautiful colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
Emma’s eyes lit up. She remembered what her grandma once told her: “At the end of the rainbow, there’s a treasure!”
“I’m going to find it!” Emma said happily. She grabbed her little backpack and ran toward the hills, where the rainbow touched the ground.
As Emma walked, she met a friendly squirrel named Nutty. “Hi, Emma! Where are you going?” Nutty asked, twitching his bushy tail.
“I’m looking for the end of the rainbow!” Emma said.
“Ooh! Can I come too?” Nutty asked.
“Of course!” Emma smiled.
Together, Emma and Nutty followed the rainbow. They walked through a meadow full of fluttering butterflies and smiling flowers. Soon, they reached a small river, where a wise old frog named Freddy sat on a rock.
“Hello, little ones,” Freddy croaked. “Where are you going today?”
“We’re trying to find the end of the rainbow!” Emma said excitedly.
Freddy nodded. “To find it, you must solve my riddle!” he said. Then he asked:
“I’m not alive, but I grow.
I don’t have lungs, but I need air.
I don’t have a mouth, but water kills me.
What am I?”
Emma thought very hard. She scratched her head. Nutty tapped his paw. Then Emma’s eyes widened.
“I know! It’s… fire!” she shouted.
Freddy smiled. “That’s right! Now, follow the path to the sparkling waterfall. That’s where the rainbow ends.”
“Thank you, Freddy!” Emma and Nutty called, as they skipped away.
Soon, they heard water rushing. They came out of the trees and saw a big, beautiful waterfall. The water sparkled like diamonds. And right there, at the bottom of the waterfall, was the rainbow’s end!
Emma and Nutty ran closer and found a small sparkly pot sitting under the rainbow. But inside… there was no gold! Instead, it was filled with colorful glowing gems.
Suddenly, a gentle voice spoke. “Those are Rainbow Gems,” said a kind fairy with shiny wings, who floated down beside them. “They are even more special than gold. These gems bring happiness and magic!”
Emma’s eyes sparkled. “Can I share them with everyone in my village?” she asked.
The fairy nodded. “Yes! Happiness is meant to be shared.”
Emma and Nutty carefully carried the Rainbow Gems home. When they gave the gems to the villagers, something wonderful happened: everyone smiled, laughed, and felt warm and happy inside.
From that day on, every time a rainbow appeared, the villagers remembered Emma’s adventure. They knew that the true treasure wasn’t gold—it was sharing joy with others.
And Emma? She knew that the end of the rainbow was just the beginning of many more adventures.
The end.
