The Rain That Only Fell in One Backyard

On a quiet afternoon, when the sky above the neighborhood was bright and blue, something very strange began to happen in Emily’s backyard.

Not across the street.
Not on the next block.
Just… there.

A single raindrop fell.

Emily looked up, confused. The sun was still shining. The birds were still chirping. Everything looked perfectly normal—except for that tiny ripple in the puddle forming at her feet.

Then another drop fell.

Soon, a gentle rain began to fall—but only inside the wooden fence of Emily’s yard. Beyond it, the sidewalks stayed dry, the neighbors walked by without umbrellas, and not a single cloud could be seen in the sky.

Emily stepped closer, holding her bright yellow umbrella, her heart beating a little faster.
