These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, memberships, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using ReadTheTale.com, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

1. Overview

ReadTheTale.com offers free and paid memberships that allow families to enjoy bedtime stories, series, and other children’s content in a safe, ad-free environment.

We currently offer:

  • Monthly Membership: Recurring payment every month.

  • Yearly Membership: Recurring payment every year.

Both paid plans include:

  • An ad-free reading experience

  • Access to exclusive members-only stories and series

2. Eligibility

Memberships must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18.
Children may enjoy the stories but may not register accounts or provide personal information directly.

3. Memberships and Subscriptions

When you subscribe, you agree to a recurring payment plan through Stripe, our payment processor.

  • Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel.

  • Prices are displayed on our website and may change with notice.

  • You can view and manage your subscription anytime by logging into your account.

4. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your membership at any time by:

  1. Logging into your ReadTheTale.com account, and

  2. Clicking “Cancel Subscription” under your account settings.

  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your current paid period (month or year).

  • During that time, you will continue to have ad-free access and exclusive content.

  • After the paid period ends, your account will automatically revert to the free, ad-supported version.

Cancellations cannot be made by email request or through your payment provider directly; they must be done through your ReadTheTale.com account.

5. Refund Policy

All payments are non-refundable, except in limited cases:

  • Accidental duplicate payments, or

  • Accidental subscription renewals clearly caused by a system error

If you believe you qualify for a refund under these exceptions, please contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of the charge. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe.

6. Exclusive Content and Access

Paid memberships provide access to exclusive content such as special stories, series, or features that are not available to free users.

  • If your membership expires or is canceled, access to exclusive content will end at the end of your paid period.

  • You may renew your membership anytime to restore access.

7. Payments and Billing

All payments are securely processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment details.

By subscribing, you authorize Read The Story LLC to charge your card automatically on each renewal date until you cancel.
If payment fails (e.g., expired card or insufficient funds), your membership may be paused or terminated.

8. Intellectual Property

All text, stories, graphics, videos, audio, and other content on ReadTheTale.com are owned or licensed by Read The Story LLC.
You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or publish our content without written permission.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Share your account login details with others

  • Use the site for unlawful or harmful purposes

  • Attempt to copy or scrape website content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We make no guarantees that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every device.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Read The Story LLC and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
