Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall;

All the king's horses and all the king's men

Couldn't put Humpty together again.

He took a great tumble, oh what a sight,

His shell cracked open, oh what a plight.

With pieces scattered, far and near,

Humpty's mishap, we sadly fear.

The king arrived with his royal train,

To see poor Humpty in such pain.

But try as they might, with all their skill,

They couldn't fix him, and so they still.

They gathered the fragments, one by one,

But putting him back was not to be done.

For Humpty Dumpty, once so fine,

Now lay in pieces, a sad design.

So let this be a lesson, clear and true,

About walls, and falls, and what we do.

For Humpty's tale, forever told,

Warns us to be careful, young and old.

The End!
