Little Veggie Lion
Once upon a time, in a warm, sunny savannah, there lived a young lion named Leo. But Leo wasn’t like the other lions—he was a veggie lion! While his brothers and sisters loved hunting for meat, Leo preferred to munch on fruits and vegetables.
Leo had shiny golden fur, a fluffy mane, and big green eyes full of curiosity. His family sometimes laughed and shook their heads when they saw him happily chewing on a carrot or a crunchy leaf. But Leo didn’t mind—he knew what he liked!
One bright morning, Leo was exploring near the edge of the savannah when he discovered something amazing: a garden filled with colorful fruits and vegetables. Juicy watermelons, sweet strawberries, crunchy carrots, and shiny green leaves filled the garden. Leo’s eyes grew wide.
“Oh wow!” Leo said happily, picking up a carrot. “This is the tastiest place I’ve ever found!”
As he munched, he noticed some animals watching from behind a bush—a rabbit, a deer, and a parrot. They looked curious, but also a little nervous.
“Hello!” Leo called with a big smile. “I’m Leo. Want to join me for a veggie feast?”
The rabbit hopped closer. “Wait… you’re a lion?” she asked. “Lions don’t eat veggies!”
Leo laughed. “I know! But I do. I love them. They make me strong and happy.”
The deer stepped forward. “I’m Darius,” he said. “I’ve never met a lion who eats plants before.”
“And I’m Polly!” squawked the parrot, flying down. “Do you really like all these veggies?”
Leo nodded. “They’re my favorite! Come on—let’s share!”
Soon, all four friends sat together, tasting strawberries, lettuce, berries, and carrots. They laughed, told stories, and enjoyed the delicious feast.
As the sun began to set, Rosie the rabbit said, “Leo, you should visit our homes tomorrow! I’ll show you the best carrot patches.”
“I’ll show you the meadow with the sweetest berries!” added Darius.
“And I’ll fly with you to the treetops to find yummy fruit!” said Polly.
Leo’s eyes sparkled. “I’d love that!”
The next day, Leo visited Rosie’s cozy burrow and tasted crunchy carrots and fresh lettuce. Then he followed Darius to the meadow, where they picked juicy berries and wild herbs. Finally, Polly soared with Leo up to the treetops, where they found delicious fruits and looked out over the whole savannah.
Soon, animals all over the savannah heard about Leo, the veggie lion who was kind and friendly. Many animals wanted to meet him and try his tasty plants.
Even Leo’s lion family grew curious. One day, his brothers and sisters said, “Can we try your fruits and veggies too?”
“Of course!” Leo said happily. They tasted strawberries, watermelon, and crunchy leaves. “These are really good!” one brother said in surprise.
From that day on, Leo’s family still ate their usual meals, but they also added fruits and veggies—thanks to Leo’s love for healthy food.
And Leo? He kept exploring, making new friends, and sharing his veggie adventures with everyone he met.
Because Leo knew that being different was something to be proud of—and sharing kindness made the world a brighter, tastier place!
The end.
