🌳 The Giving Tree
Once upon a time, in a big green forest, there stood a tall, beautiful tree. Her branches stretched wide, and her leaves were bright and shiny. Everyone called her the Giving Tree because she loved to help others.
The Giving Tree had a best friend, a little boy named Tom. Every day, Tom would come to visit her. He climbed her branches, swung from her arms, and ate her yummy apples. Sometimes he would nap in her cool shade.
The Giving Tree loved Tom very much. She was happiest whenever he was near.
One sunny day, Tom came to the tree looking sad.
“What’s wrong, Tom?” the Giving Tree asked softly.
“I want to buy a toy, but I don’t have any money,” Tom sighed.
The Giving Tree thought for a moment. Then she said kindly, “Take my apples, Tom. You can sell them at the market and use the money to buy your toy.”
Tom’s face lit up with a big smile. “Thank you, Tree!” he said. He picked lots of apples and ran off to sell them. The Giving Tree felt happy, knowing she had helped.

Time passed, and Tom grew older. He didn’t visit as much, but the Giving Tree still waited for him every day.
One day, Tom came back. He looked worried.
“What’s wrong, Tom?” asked the Giving Tree.
“I need a house to live in, but I don’t have any wood,” Tom said sadly.
The Giving Tree wanted to help again. “Take my branches, Tom,” she said gently. “You can use them to build your house.”
Tom smiled and hugged the tree. “Thank you, Tree,” he said. He cut off the branches and carried them away. The Giving Tree was happy to help, but she missed her branches.

More years passed. Tom grew even older. One day, he came back again, looking tired.
“What’s wrong, Tom?” the Giving Tree asked.
“I want to sail far away, but I don’t have a boat,” Tom said softly.
The Giving Tree wanted to help her friend one more time. “Cut down my trunk, Tom,” she offered kindly. “You can use it to make a boat.”
Tom hugged the tree tightly. “Thank you, Tree,” he whispered. He cut down the trunk and made a boat. Then he sailed away.
The Giving Tree was now just a small stump. Even though she had given so much, she felt happy knowing she had helped her friend.

A very long time passed. One day, Tom came back again. He was now an old man. He looked very tired.
“I don’t need much now,” Tom said quietly. “I just want a place to sit and rest.”
The Giving Tree smiled. “Come, Tom. Sit down on me and rest,” she said warmly.
Tom sat down on the stump and smiled. The Giving Tree felt happy again—happy just to be there for her dear friend.
And so, Tom and the Giving Tree sat together, feeling peaceful and loved.
The End.
